💫 Tốt nghiệp và hoàn thành chương trình sau đại học tại Trường Khúc xạ Nhãn khoa, Đại học Montréal, GS. Langis Michaud nhận bằng Thạc sĩ Quang học Sinh lý vào năm 1998. Từ năm 2001, ông chính thức giảng dạy tại Đại học Montréal, đồng thời đảm nhận nhiều vị trí chuyên môn quan trọng như Trưởng Bộ môn Kính tiếp xúc và Trưởng khoa giai đoạn 2020 - 2022. Bên hoạt động giảng dạy, giáo sư còn là nhiều thành viên của nhiều tổ chức chuyên môn uy tín trên thế giới Thành viên cao cấp Học viện Khúc xạ Nhãn khoa Hoa Kỳ (AAO), Thành viên Hiệp hội Kính tiếp xúc Anh Quốc (BCLA) và nhiều tổ chức chuyên môn uy tín trên thế giới.
💫 Trong hành trình nghiên cứu và giảng dạy, GS. Langis Michaud đã thực hiện nhiều nghiên cứu chuyên sâu về kiểm soát tiến triển cận thị, kính củng mạc, các bệnh lý bán phần trước và những biểu hiện tại mắt của bệnh Fabry. Ông là tác giả của nhiều công trình được công bố trên các tạp chí khoa học quốc tế và đồng thời là đồng tác giả của cuốn sách chuyên khảo đầu tiên về Kiểm soát tiến triển cận thị, một tài liệu tham khảo có giá trị đối với cộng đồng chuyên môn.

💫 After completing his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the École d’optométrie, Université de Montréal, Prof. Langis Michaud earned his Master’s degree in Physiological Optics in 1998. Since joining the faculty of Université de Montréal in 2001, he has held several key academic and leadership positions, including Head of the Contact Lens Department and Dean of the School of Optometry from 2020 to 2022. Alongside his academic career, Prof. Michaud has been actively involved in several prestigious professional organizations, including the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), where he holds Diplomate status, and the British Contact Lens Association (BCLA), among other international professional organizations.
💫 Throughout his career in research and education, Prof. Langis Michaud has conducted extensive work in myopia management, scleral contact lenses, anterior segment disorders, and ocular manifestations of Fabry disease. He has authored numerous publications in leading international scientific journals and is notably the co-author of the first comprehensive textbook dedicated to myopia management, which has become a valuable reference for eye care professionals.

💫 Hiện GS. Fiona Stapleton là Giáo sư Ưu tú, Trưởng Nhóm Nghiên cứu Mắt và Giám đốc Đào tạo Lâm sàng tại Trường Khúc xạ nhãn khoa và Khoa học Thị giác thuộc Đại học New South Wales, Úc. Bà không chỉ là Thành viên Học viện Khúc xạ nhãn khoa Hoa Kỳ (Chuyên gia chuyên sâu về Giác mạc, Kính tiếp xúc và Công nghệ Khúc xạ), mà còn là Thành viên Hiệp hội Kính tiếp xúc Anh Quốc và Hiệp hội Giác mạc và Kính tiếp xúc Úc. Với những đóng góp nổi bật trong nghiên cứu, bà đã được trao Huân chương Order of Australia năm 2023.
💫 Hơn 25 năm kinh nghiệm nghiên cứu, giảng dạy và gần 400 công trình nghiên cứu được bình duyệt GS. Fiona Stapleton đã tạo dấu ấn sâu sắc trong cộng đồng khoa học quốc tế. 💫 Professor Stapleton currently serves as Scientia Professor, Head of the Eye Research Group, and Clinical Teaching Director at the School of Optometry and Vision Science, UNSW Sydney, Australia. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (Diplomate - Cornea, Contact Lens and Refractive Technologies), as well as a Fellow of the British Contact Lens Association and the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia. In recognition of her contributions, she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2023.
💫 With more than 25 years of experience in research, clinical education, and academic leadership, and nearly 400 peer-reviewed publications, Professor Stapleton has established an outstanding international reputation in eye and vision science. 💫 Professor Allison McKendrick currently serving as Chair in Optometry Research at the University of Western Australia and Lions Eye Institute, Perth, Australia. She is also an Honorary Professor in the Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences at the University of Melbourne and serves as Vice President of the International Society for Imaging and Perimetry. With more than 25 years of experience in the field, Professor McKendrick has made significant contributions to imaging research, visual function assessment, education, and professional development. At the University of Melbourne, she has held several academic leadership positions, including Head of the Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences and Deputy Head of the Melbourne School of Health Sciences.
💫 With a strong research background, Professor McKendrick has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed scientific publications in international journals and supervised over 20 PhD candidates to successful completion. Her outstanding contributions to research and academia have been recognized through numerous prestigious honors and awards, including ARVO Gold Fellow (FARVO) and the 2025 University of Western Australia Vice-Chancellor’s Senior Researcher Award.

💫 Với chuyên môn sâu rộng về khúc xạ nhãn khoa nhi, chính sách liên quan đến chăm sóc thị giác trẻ em và hệ thống sàng lọc thị lực, GS. 💫 With extensive expertise in pediatric optometry, children’s vision care policy, and vision screening systems, Professor Bruce Dennis Moore has made significant contributions to raising awareness and advancing children’s vision care programs in the United States and internationally. He is a Founding Member of the National Center for Children’s Vision and Eye Health and serves as Co-Chair of the Children’s Vision Massachusetts Coalition.
💫 Throughout his academic and professional career, Professor Bruce Dennis Moore served as Department Chair at the New England College of Optometry, with more than 30 years of involvement in education and the organization of 12 international symposiums. His outstanding contributions to improving public vision care have earned him numerous prestigious honors, notably the Jenny Pomeroy Award and the Bonnie Strickland Award at the New England College of Optometry.

💫 Ban Tổ chức Hội nghị Khúc xạ nhãn khoa Châu Á lần thứ 5 (AOC 2026) trân trọng giới thiệu ThS. Gabriëlle Janssen - chuyên gia trong lĩnh vực Khúc xạ nhãn khoa, phát triển hệ thống chăm sóc mắt và giáo dục khúc xạ nhãn khoa.
💫 ThS. Gabriëlle Janssen hiện là Chủ tịch Hội đồng Khúc xạ Nhãn khoa và Quang học Châu Âu, tổ chức đại diện cho các hiệp hội nghề nghiệp quốc gia tại 25 quốc gia với hơn 200.000 chuyên gia khúc xạ nhãn khoa và quang học. Với 28 năm kinh nghiệm trong lĩnh vực, bà đã đảm nhiệm nhiều vai trò lãnh đạo quan trọng, trong đó có Chủ tịch đắc cử ECOO giai đoạn 2022 - 2024 và Giám đốc điều hành Hiệp hội Khúc xạ Nhãn khoa Hà Lan (OVN) giai đoạn 2014 - 2023.
💫 Một trong những dấu ấn nổi bật trong hành trình chuyên môn của bà Gabriëlle Janssen là đóng góp vào sự phát triển ngành Khúc xạ nhãn khoa tại Việt Nam. Từ năm 2000 đến 2013, thông qua tổ chức Eye Care Foundation (ECF), bà đã đồng hành cùng các hoạt động chăm sóc mắt cộng đồng tại Trà Vinh. Từ năm 2002, bà trực tiếp giảng dạy, xây dựng chương trình đào tạo khúc xạ và đồng khởi xướng chương trình đào tạo Khúc xạ nhãn khoa đầu tiên tại Việt Nam, phối hợp cùng các bác sĩ nhãn khoa, cơ quan quản lý nhà nước và Viện Thị giác Brien Holden.
💫 Tại Hà Lan và Châu Âu, ThS. Gabriëlle Janssen đã dẫn dắt quá trình phát triển Khung Chất lượng Khúc xạ nhãn khoa Hà Lan, đặt nền tảng cho việc đảm bảo chất lượng và quản lý nghề nghiệp dựa trên năng lực. Bà cũng tham gia xây dựng Hồ sơ Nghề nghiệp Khúc xạ nhãn khoa Hà Lan, đồng thời đóng góp vào các hướng dẫn đa ngành về sàng lọc bệnh lý võng mạc đái tháo đường (bao gồm các ứng dụng AI) và thúc đẩy trao đổi dữ liệu y tế theo chuẩn SNOMED CT.

💫 The Organizing Committee of the 5th Asian Optometric Congress (AOC 2026) is honored to introduce Ms. Gabriëlle Janssen, an expert in optometry, eye care system development, and optometric education.
💫 Ms. Gabriëlle Janssen currently serves as President of the European Council of Optometry and Optics (ECOO), representing national professional associations from 25 countries and more than 200,000 optometry and optics professionals. With 28 years of experience in the field, she has held several key leadership positions, including ECOO President-Elect from 2022 to 2024 and Executive Director of the Dutch Association of Optometry (OVN) from 2014 to 2023.
💫 One of the most notable highlights of Ms. Gabriëlle Janssen’s professional journey is her contribution to the development of optometry in Vietnam. From 2000 to 2013, she was involved in eye care activities in Vietnam, beginning with community eye care programs in Tra Vinh. From 2002, she contributed to refraction training, developed refraction courses, and co-initiated and helped establish Vietnam’s first optometry education programme, in collaboration with ophthalmologists, government agencies, and the Brien Holden Vision Institute.
💫 In the Netherlands, Ms. Gabriëlle Janssen led the development of the Dutch Quality Framework for Optometry, helping lay the foundation for quality assurance and performance-based professional regulation. She also contributed to the development of the Dutch Professional Profile for Optometry and to initiatives aimed at improving the quality of eye care, including multidisciplinary guidelines for diabetic retinopathy screening and AI-assisted diabetic retinopathy screening.
💫 With her extensive practical experience, leadership expertise, and contributions to the development of optometry systems, Ms. Gabriëlle Janssen is expected to bring valuable insights to AOC 2026 on professional development, education, and improving the quality of vision care, while also helping connect the Vietnamese professional community with global trends and developments in optometry.

May Ho - chuyên gia với hơn 30 năm kinh nghiệm trong lĩnh vực Khúc xạ nhãn khoa, y tế công cộng và chăm sóc mắt quốc tế, đặc biệt trong phát triển ngành Khúc xạ nhãn khoa, chăm sóc mắt ban đầu, tật khúc xạ, thị lực kém và chăm sóc mắt học đường.
💫 TS. May Ho hiện đang giữ vị trí Cố vấn về Khúc xạ nhãn khoa và Chăm sóc sức khỏe ban đầu tại Quỹ Fred Hollows. Bà từng giữ vị trí Giám đốc Đào tạo và Phát triển tại Viện Thị giác Brien Holden, đồng thời đảm nhiệm nhiều vai trò quản lý các chương trình phát triển chăm sóc mắt tại Việt Nam và Campuchia.
💫 TS. May Ho có nhiều kinh nghiệm xây dựng và triển khai các chương trình chăm sóc mắt bền vững và đào tạo nhân lực y tế tại khu vực Châu Á - Thái Bình Dương, Châu Phi và nhiều khu vực khác. Đặc biệt, tại Việt Nam, bà đã dành 10 năm phối hợp cùng các chuyên gia và đối tác trong nước để góp phần đưa ngành Khúc xạ nhãn khoa vào Việt Nam, từ thiết kế, triển khai đến giám sát và đánh giá chương trình. Song song với công tác đào tạo, TS. May Ho còn ghi dấu ấn sâu sắc qua các công trình nghiên cứu về tật khúc xạ, thị lực kém, lão thị và cận thị, đồng thời đóng góp vào các hướng dẫn và tài liệu chuyên môn quốc tế về chăm sóc mắt học đường và tật khúc xạ. Bà hiện là thành viên Nhóm Chiến lược về Tật khúc xạ của IAPB, đồng Chủ trì Nhóm Công tác về Bằng chứng và Nghiên cứu, đồng thời tham gia Ủy ban Y tế công cộng của Hội đồng Khúc xạ nhãn khoa Thế giới và các nhóm công tác của WHO về nhân lực và cung ứng dịch vụ chăm sóc mắt.

💫 The Organizing Committee of the 5th Asian Optometric Congress (AOC 2026) is honored to introduce Dr. May Ho, a leading expert with over 30 years of experience in optometry, public health, and international eye care, with particular expertise in optometric workforce development, primary eye care, refractive error, low vision, and school eye health.
💫 Dr. May Ho currently serves as Optometry and Primary Health Care Advisor at The Fred Hollows Foundation. She previously served as Director of Education and Development at the Brien Holden Vision Institute, and has held various leadership roles in eye care development programs in Vietnam and Cambodia.
💫 Dr. May Ho has extensive experience in developing and implementing sustainable eye care programs and training healthcare personnel across the Asia-Pacific region, Africa, and other regions. In particular, in Vietnam, she spent 10 years working closely with local experts and partners to contribute to the development of the optometry profession, from program design and implementation to monitoring and evaluation.
💫 In addition to her contributions to education and eye care system development, Dr. May Ho has made significant contributions to research and policy advocacy. She has been involved in numerous studies on refractive error, low vision, presbyopia, and myopia, and has contributed to international guidelines and professional resources on school eye health and refractive error. She currently serves as a member of the IAPB Refractive Error Strategy Group, Co-Chair of the Evidence and Research Working Group, and a member of the Public Health Committee of the World Council of Optometry, as well as WHO working groups on eye care workforce and service delivery.
💫 With her extensive experience in research, education, and eye care system development, Dr. May Ho is expected to bring valuable insights to AOC 2026 on workforce development, primary eye care, refractive error management, and the development of sustainable eye care models, contributing to broader perspectives and stronger collaboration within the regional optometry community.

💫 Hiện TS. Jeremiah Lim là Giảng viên cao cấp và Điều phối viên Chương trình tại Khoa Khúc xạ nhãn khoa và Khoa học Thị giác, Đại học Tây Úc (UWA). Ông đồng thời giữ vai trò Thành viên Ban Biên tập của tạp chí y khoa uy tín “Clinical and Experimental Optometry”, và là đồng tác giả Hướng dẫn Thực hành Lâm sàng về Glôcôm của Hiệp hội Khúc xạ nhãn khoa Úc.
💫 Với 21 năm kinh nghiệm chuyên môn, TS. Jeremiah Lim đã tập trung nghiên cứu và đào tạo trong các lĩnh vực Glôcôm, Thần kinh thị giác, dấu ấn sinh học võng mạc và kỹ thuật hình ảnh võng mạc. Những đóng góp của ông cho nghiên cứu và đào tạo chuyên ngành đã được ghi nhận qua Giải thưởng Eberhard Dodt Memorial năm 2016 và Học bổng Guelma-Alexander về Khoa học Thần kinh năm 2019.

💫 The Organizing Committee of the 5th Asia Optometric Congress (AOC 2026) is pleased to introduce Dr. Jeremiah Lim, an experienced academic and clinician with expertise in glaucoma, neuro-optometry, and vision science, with over two decades of experience in research, teaching, and clinical education.
💫 Dr. Lim is currently a Senior Lecturer and Course Coordinator in the Department of Optometry and Vision Science at The University of Western Australia. He also serves as an Associate Editor of Clinical and Experimental Optometry, Course Coordinator and Chair of Clinical Skills at UWA, and a co-contributor to the Optometry Australia Glaucoma Clinical Guideline.
💫 With 21 years of professional experience, Dr. Lim has contributed extensively to research and education in glaucoma, neuro-optometry, retinal biomarkers, and retinal imaging. His academic contributions have been recognized through the Eberhard Dodt Memorial Award (2016) and the Guelma-Alexander Fellowship in Neuroscience (2019).

💫 TS. Tim Fricke hiện là Giám đốc Nghiên cứu và Giáo dục tại Viện Nghiên cứu Thị giác Quốc gia, Trường Cao đẳng Khúc xạ Nhãn khoa Úc. Đồng thời, ông là Chủ tịch Epidemiology Taskforce của Viện Cận thị Quốc tế và Biên tập viên phụ trách của tạp chí “Clinical and Experimental Optometry”. Với 32 năm kinh nghiệm chuyên môn, ông đã đảm nhiệm nhiều vai trò trong lâm sàng, giảng dạy, nghiên cứu, quản lý và lãnh đạo tại nhiều môi trường chăm sóc mắt khác nhau. Ông cũng là Giáo sư danh dự tại Trường Đại học Y Hà Nội và Nghiên cứu viên cao cấp danh dự của Đại học Melbourne.
💫 Trong lĩnh vực nghiên cứu, TS. Tim Fricke tập trung vào sự phát triển thị giác, dịch tễ học nhãn khoa, chất lượng cuộc sống và khả năng tiếp cận dịch vụ chăm sóc mắt. Ông có nhiều kinh nghiệm trong chăm sóc mắt trẻ em, hướng dẫn nghiên cứu sau đại học về chăm sóc mắt nhi khoa và kinh tế y tế, đồng thời giảng dạy các chương trình đào tạo Khúc xạ nhãn khoa ở cả bậc đại học và sau đại học tại Australia và nhiều quốc gia trên thế giới. Không chỉ hoạt động trong nghiên cứu và đào tạo, TS. Tim Fricke còn có nhiều đóng góp trong phát triển hệ thống và năng lực chăm sóc mắt ở nhiều quốc gia.

💫 Dr. Tim Fricke currently serves as Director of Research and Education at the National Vision Research Institute, Australian College of Optometry. He is also Chair of the Epidemiology Taskforce at the International Myopia Institute and Editor-in-Chief of Clinical and Experimental Optometry. With 32 years of professional experience, he has held a wide range of clinical, teaching, research, management, and leadership roles across diverse eye care settings. He also serves as an Honorary Professor at Hanoi Medical University and an Honorary Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne.
💫 Dr. Fricke’s research focuses on visual development, ocular epidemiology, quality of life, and access to eye care services. He has extensive experience in pediatric eye care and has supervised postgraduate research in pediatric eye care and health economics, while teaching optometry programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Australia and internationally. Beyond research and education, Dr. Fricke has also made significant contributions to the development of eye care systems and workforce capacity across multiple countries.
